HIFU ULTRAcel Q+ is the latest non-surgical technology using High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) and Micro-Macro Focused Ultrasound (MMFU) to deliver a non-invasive face, neck and body lifting treatment. ULTRAcel Q+ is a safe, state-of-the-art, non-invasive treatment for lifting and tightening areas of the face and body using High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU).

New technology, exclusive to ULTRAcel Q+, can also target fat tissue and other skin concerns, allowing the treatment to be used to contour specific areas. Unlike other HIFU treatments, the ULTRAcel Q+ is almost 3 times faster, resulting in minimal discomfort and quicker treatment time to resume normal activities.

HIFU History

HIFU was first developed and widely used for its non-invasive nature to treat prostate cancer. Scientists say that men’s genitals were starting to firm and tighten. This was then developed into tightening and lifting the face, neck, and décolletage. HIFU was approved to lift skin on the neck, jowls, eyebrows, chin, and décolletage and was proven to improve lines and wrinkles in 2009 and 2012.

HIFU individually targets face, brow, jowl, and neck lifting, overall skin tightening, rejuvenation, and deeper fat cells. The technology is unique in penetrating the dermis and the superficial muscular aponeurotic system (SMAS) layer, which is deeper than all other non-invasive treatments. The SMAS layer is the same area tightened during conventional surgery; however, unlike surgery, HIFU is more affordable and requires no downtime.

HIFU Science

HIFU ULTRAcel Q+ treatments are based on hyperthermia lifting theory. The HIFU transducer irradiates 65-75Cº of high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) energy into the skin. This then creates thermal coagulation on the target layers of skin tissue with no damage on the skin surface.

ULTRAcel Q +, using next-generation HIFU technology, is equipped with 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm, 3.0 mm, and 4.5 mm cartridges with different depths to reach each target in the dermis, SMAS, and fat layer. This treatment is not possible with devices such as lasers or radiofrequency (RF), which deliver heat energy widely to superficial layers of the skin.

In addition, LinearFirm (Linear Farm/Linear Cartridge) is also available, which spreads thermal energy differently at the same target depth. A coagulation zone is formed at the precise target depth, and the focal size varies with frequency. Each HIFU therapy cartridge is designed to fit each indication and treatment area.

HIFU Ultra+ With MFU Treatment

HIFU ULTRAcel Q+ is medical grade and has proven success across the UK. Results last 18 months and 3 years, which is excellent and much more effective than standard non-invasive procedures.

HIFU treatment is a highly precise medical procedure using high-intensity focused ultrasound. The latest model we have introduced to our clinic includes MFU technology. The MFU method is sharply focused, whereas standard HIFU technology applies multiple beams that can also hit bone and fat tissue.

MFU technology allows more energy to penetrate the skin, offering better-tightening effects and overall results. Advanced sensors and ultrasound map scanning can produce better results with less discomfort and side effects.

How HIFU Works

Following the initial treatment, the skin starts to undergo a wound-healing process that simulates collagen synthesis and regeneration. Unlike lasers, radio frequency, surgery, and other cosmetic procedures, HIFU bypasses the skin’s surface to deliver the right amount of ultrasound energy to the correct depths within the skin at the desired temperature. This HIFU energy triggers a natural response under the skin, causing the body to enter the regenerative process, producing new collagen.

The new MF2 cartridge allows our aestheticians to treat difficult-to-reach areas, such as around the eyes, which cannot be treated effectively with generic HIFU devices.

HIFU Efficacy

HIFU fires ultrasound waves that cause micro-injuries deep under the skin’s surface for face and body treatments.

This results in an increased production of collagen and leads to firmer and tighter skin. HIFU treatment for the body uses deeper levels of HIFU, effectively breaking down the fat cells whilst also tightening the underlying tissues and skin.

HIFU face-lifting can be used for blurred jawlines, nasal folds, sagging eyelids, loose neck folds, fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin tone or texture, and large pores. RT Aesthetics HIFU machines have many different cartridges that can treat various problem areas at the same time.
